Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
