Administration Denounces 'Democratic Hoax' as Further Epstein Estate Photographs Disclosed
Democratic lawmakers have released a new tranche of what they labeled "disturbing" pictures from the estate of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—plus another 70 issued later on Friday constitute a small number of the approximately 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of apparent suicide in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking offenses.
Notable Figures in the Images
Featured among the notable figures visible in the first release are public figures featuring film director Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Statement
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, accusing Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the images for political purposes and to "seek to establish a false storyline."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson remarked, maintaining that "the Trump administration has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by frequently urging disclosure, releasing thousands of pages of records, and calling for further investigations into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Panel Member Comment
The photos were disclosed devoid of explanation, but as stated by a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's associations with wealthy individuals.
"The moment has come to halt this White House cover-up and bring justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he stated in a release.
The disclosure of these materials comes as the House panel continuing its probe into the affair.
