Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this season so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the beginning of something, but for Buffalo they'll require an instant response in a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers next week as the New England are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the American Football Conference East

Regarding the Patriots, they're one of three different 8-2 squads in the league, all AFC teams, but could they be the top team?

Visiting Baltimore is challenging too, but the Broncos have it even tougher in the AFC West with the Kansas City to face two times, the Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but encounter the same problem) and additionally the Green Bay on the schedule

The Colts also play the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two matchups with the 5-4 Jacksonville to contend with. There is a long way to travel but the opportunity is available for a shock top seed in the AFC

Two teams with solid claims to be better than all of the three different eight and two sides are National Football Conference West opponents the Seattle and Los Angeles, who each scored forty points to reach seven and two before next week's Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the two in Los Angeles

Both have won four in a row, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses allowing fewer than twenty points a game

Each could realistically be undefeated as well - especially the Los Angeles as their pair of losses came in extra time against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning field goal with the last kick blocked and run back by the Eagles for a touchdown

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before falling to the last kick of the game against the Tampa Bay - so they are truly two of the top teams in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the season so far
