The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
